David Szandzik, DDS
Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
Dr. David Szandzik is a Board Eligible Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who completed his surgical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. While in residency, Dr. Szandzik received extensive training in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including dentoalveolar surgery and management of impacted teeth, complex orofacial infections, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, benign/malignant pathology, microvascular reconstruction, and nerve repair.
Dr. Szandzik earned his undergraduate degree in Human Biology in 2011 from Michigan State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2018 from University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry.
Dr. Szandzik holds certificates in Basic Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Michigan Dental Association (MDA).
Dr. Szandzik and his wife, Beta, are natives of Grosse Pointe Woods and are happy to be back home raising their young son. Dr. Szandzik is excited to be providing care in the community where he grew up.
