Nicolette Essian, DMD, CFNC, MS

Dr. Essian

Dr. Nicolette Essian is an Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist from Macomb, Michigan. She completed her specialty training and master’s program at UNC Adams School of Dentistry in North Carolina. Dr. Essian always knew she wanted to become a healthcare provider and was inspired by her father who is a general dentist. Her education began at the University of Detroit Mercy where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. She then attended dental school at Midwestern University-Illinois.

As an oral pathologist, Dr. Essian is able to make both clinical and histopathologic diagnoses. This includes developmental, infectious, and often autoimmune-related conditions of the head and neck. She is certified in functional nutrition and laser safety in dentistry. Dr. Essian is very passionate about her field. Her long-term goal is to improve the overall health and well-being of patients living with chronic disease.

Dr. Essian is honored to join Summit and to serve the local community. She enjoys taking her Bernese mountain dog to the park, traveling with her husband, and spending quality time with family or friends.
