I do not write reviews often but, felt the need to after my experience at this office on Wednesday. I was not excited about my oral surgery. My phobia for needles and painful dental procedures is extreme, to say the least. This was my first time in this office which made me even more nervous because I hate seeing new doctors, especially because they are unfamiliar with my phobias. Dani was the assistant that took me back for X-rays and stayed in the room for each step of the visit. I could not say enough good things about Dani. She was so sweet, patient and empathetic. Not only did she understand my anxiety but, she did everything she could to help keep it on a lower level. Dani had me started on nitrous for a decent amount of time before the doctor came in to numb me which made calming down from the numbing process, the easiest I've ever experienced! She spoke with me to calm me down throughout the visit, any time my anxiety spiked. Dr. Lehal was very understanding of my anxiety as well. He was patient when I needed a little more numbing and gave Dani the time she needed to calm me down before proceeding through the surgery. Dr. Lehal did an amazing job. Once we got to the surgery itself, it was done quicker than I thought it would be. Let's be honest... oral surgery sucks! That being said, if you need oral surgery, I highly recommend Dani and Dr. Lehal!

My dentist referred me to Summit Oral to have all four of my wisdom teeth extracted. At my consultation, in late November, the staff and Doctor were very courteous and knowledgeable.They prescribed the medication I needed for post-op so that I'd have them available in advance and got all the information necessary from my insurance. My procedure was scheduled for this past Monday and not only did it go smoothly, but the Doctor, a proud Michigan Alum [Go Blue], was fantastic and kept me laughing until I was knocked out! Next thing I knew, I was headed to the car with my driver and everything I needed for post-op [instructions, cute little ice packs and extra gauze]. The staff called me the next day to check in and has been extremely responsive to my many questions and concerns, both before and after the procedure. I imagine if anything else were to arise, they would handle it with superb expertise and care! I would absolutely recommend Summit Oral in Rochester Hills to anyone considering oral/maxillofacial surgery!
