Matthew DeMerle, DDS, MD

Dr. Matthew DeMerle is a board eligible oral and maxillofacial surgeon who completed his surgical training at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During his residency, Dr. DeMerle received extensive training in multiple aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. DeMerle has a special interest in orthognathic surgery, dentoalveolar surgery including management of impacted teeth and dental implant placement, facial trauma, complex head and neck infections, and management of benign/malignant pathology.

Dr. DeMerle received his undergraduate degree in neuroscience from the University of Michigan and continued his education at the University of Michigan, where he also obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Dr. DeMerle then received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Pittsburgh while simultaneously working in the hospital setting.

Dr. DeMerle is a Michigan native and was raised in Traverse City. He and his wife Kimberley have two children and a golden retriever. Dr. DeMerle spends his free time with family staying active outdoors, taking trips to northern Michigan, and playing golf.
