We showed up this morning for my 19 y/o wisdom teeth removal surgery only to have to walk back out because this office doesn’t make any pre-op calls. A 2-1/2 min preop call would have caught a med change (initial consult was 4 mths ago) that requires a different protocol than the “no eating/drinking after midnight”. He got a text message with a reminder of the “after midnight” rule, so that’s what he followed. It also would have caught the fact that he needs to pre-medicate due to having hardware surgically implanted in his body, and we would have knows that all meds were sent to our pharmacy over 2 months ago (no notifications from the pharmacy either.) but instead of that 2-1/2 min call that is standard operating procedure EVERY WHERE ELSE, these guys don’t think it’s important to not waste new patients time - including time taken off work. We received zero pre-surgical sheet (we didn’t schedule in person to receive their cute little pink sheet). The the front desk supervisor had the audacity to blame us for not knowing and tried to blame him for not giving me the pink sheet - but somehow he came me all other paperwork that consisted of the $1k+ bill/estimate. I had them refund my money immediately and will never come back here or recommend them to anyone. A 2-1/2 min standard procedure call would have alleviated all of this - a call that they apparently DON’T do in general. Do better Summit.

Short story: It should not be this difficult to coordinate and receive service. We have been trying for eight weeks to schedule an extraction. Longer story: referred there by BFOrtho for my son to have impacted tooth removed. Wait six weeks for consult - finally on July 2 met very nice oral surgeon. He said that actually two teeth should come out but this will change ortho’s treatment plan and he needs to speak with them, but due to July 4th holiday obviously not going to reach anyone soon so he said he’d discuss with them and have his office call us back to schedule. By 7/24 I realize I’ve never heard back - call office. “Sorry, he’s in another office today, we will leave him a message.” Hear nothing, call back on 7/31 and 8/3: “the notes say the doctors haven’t connected yet, I’ll have the practice manager look into this.” Knowing we are running out of summer days to have this surgery and have him recover I call BFOrtho on 8/4 to explain and ask for help. Treatment coordinator is kind and apologetic; says she thinks it’s just a quick call between the surgeon and ortho and that she will ensure Summit gets back to me, AND that she will follow up personally to ensure it happens. NEITHER of those things happened. As of today 8/11 I’ve heard absolutely NOTHING from the Summit office and had to call BFOrtho myself AGAIN to try to get this poor kid scheduled to have one - or maybe two teeth taken out. Turns out doctors can’t decide if he needs one or both removed, but literally NO ONE from EITHER OFFICE has made the effort to advise us what the treatment plan is. At my call to BFOrtho today, they have requested we get a second opinion (which is fine, because we have given up on Summit anyway) but now we have missed the chance to do this over summer and he will miss several school days for this. Really disappointing experience from both offices…

Honestly one of the best dental practices. I’ve had wisdom teeth, tooth extractions and implants done here and each and every time everything went so smoothly- one being an emergency. Dr. Kraemer and team is truly the best. They are very supportive, compassionate and kind. Don’t hesitate coming here you will be in great hands.
